Smart Works Reading is a local charity that exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. We use the power of high-quality clothing and one-to-one coaching to help unemployed women fulfil their potential, get the job and transform their lives. Since opening our doors in 2015, we have supported almost 2,500 women into employment.
The need for our service has never been greater. Faced with the legacy of the pandemic and in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis, Smart Works offers a vital connection between women who might be lacking the confidence to succeed at their interview and the potential available jobs. 69% of our clients go on to get a job within one month of their appointment at Smart Works.
